Thiago's earnings~

I have been so stinken busy with three jobs, two kids and a husband, derby and TRYING to keep this house clean that I have not posted in a little while! Sorry!!! :)

Thayne took Thiago to the recycleing place to get rid of some of these cans that were pillying up,.. Thiago earned $37!!! He was so excited! We haven't been able to go back out because of the weather but Thiago is very anxious to get back out there to collect more.

Anyone have cans?

So lately we have been thinking of ways Thiago (our four year old) can earn some money aside from doing his chores. He is OBSESSED with money and saving it. We are also trying to teach him that he has to work for the things he wants, they won't just be handed to him. We have decided to start collecting alluminum cans. In this we are teaching him to recycle and save the earth and also that hard work receives a reward. On Sundays, when it's warm, we have been going out to the fields on the outskirts of town and picking up cans that people throw out the window. Thiago LOVES this. It's like a little treasure hunt for him. He loves spotting them, running to get them and then smashing them under the tire of the car. He's so cute! We have started doing this as a family thing and we really enjoy it. Anyway, if any of you have aluminum cans lying around I am sure Thiago would LOVE to have them. He enjoys dumping them into the recycling belt so the more cans, the more enjoyment and money for his money jar!
